Green Flag Award-winning Wyre Estuary Country Park is featured in a new walking guide produced by Wyre Council.

The Guided Walks Guide for 2008 booklet provides a comprehensive month by month look at guided walks across Wyre and details special themed events and opportunities to combine walking with other activities. This includes RSPB birdwatching, tree-planting, bulb-planting and dry-stone walling.

Alison Boden, senior manager for Wyre’s coast and countryside team, said: “Wyre has some outstanding scenery and more and more people are finding that organised walks are one of the best ways to appreciate this.”
