Wellington Park is one of Taunton Deane’s most enjoyable attractions. The grade II listed Edwardian formal park occupies 1.8 hectares and was restored to its former glory in 2000 with the aid of HLF-funding. Many of the original design features have been retained. The war memorial and toilet block were added later. The park has a ha ha, bandstand and floral bedding displays.  Throughout the summer the park is used for a lively events programme organised by the Friends of Wellington Park, which has proved very popular with local people and visitors alike.
