Oaklands Park opened in 1930 and provides approximately 5 hectares of established parkland and gardens within the historical quarter of Chelmsford, the county town of Essex.  This historical park offers local residents, schools, workers and visitors a museum of local and national interest, sports pitches, tennis courts, the award winning Echo Garden as well as the traditional flower borders you would expect from a Victorian Italianate villa and grounds.  With over 130,000 visitors enjoying organised events and attractions each year, Oaklands offers something for everyone.
