The Trust for Urban Ecology has successfully entered Lavender Pond Nature Park - a recently designated Local Nature Reserve - for a Green Pennant award. The Green Pennant Award is a national award that recognises high quality green spaces in England and Wales that are managed by voluntary and community groups. The Nature Park Warden Reuben Hawkwood, said: “ This is an excellent news for Lavender Pond. It will give the park the recognition that it deserves and give the opportunity for new people to get involved in their local nature park in a real hands-on way.”
