Information about this open space

Hall Place Gardens in Bexley is a Grade II listed site surrounding the Grade I listed manor house, built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The gardens retain many historical features including sunken and herb gardens, and more recently built rock and heather gardens. Magnificent topiary includes a series of heraldic beasts to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Nursery, a walled kitchen garden and glass houses hark back to the house’s days as a private residence. The gardens have been open to the public since 1952 and have won many awards including in 1976 special commendation for their restoration
