Screened from surrounding houses by mature perimeter planting, the southern section is level with formal gardens. The northern section includes a steep ravine, nature conservation areas with water features and access to Roker Seafront. 9 entrances allow access from all sides and direct links to the seafront. Facilities include 2 bowling greens, play areas, basketball, 5-a-side and a model boating lake. Sunderland Model Engineering Society provide free train rides at weekends.
