Information about this open space

A much loved park in the middle of a densely populated residential area, Winton Recreation Ground features a vibrant calendar of activities from kids football tournaments to summer-long play schemes, the site has also hosted the Winton Carnival.  Tennis and bowls facilities are very popular and both offer coaching for beginners and intermediate players.  Meanwhile, a large informal area is used intensively by young people and dog walkers.  The local Community Parks and Countryside Officer maintains a safe environment for all to enjoy and holds regular and constructive dialogue with all groups on the site through a User Group Forum.  2006 also saw the birth of two new friends groups for the site.
