01273 293080Easthill Park Easthill Park lies at the edge of Portslade Old Village and was opened to the public in 1947, covering an area of 3.9 hectares. It is an important public open space within a Neighbourhood Renewal Priority Area and managed in full consultation with the well established Friends of Easthill Park Group. Easthill Park features include a well stocked walled garden with herbaceous borders, conservation areas and a woodland walk, sports facilities, children’s play areas and a space for informal recreation. Although a small local park, there are a number of events each year, from countryside led events such as bird box building to children’s summer ‘Play Days’, fundraising events and community workshops led by the Easthill Park Group. This open space maintains a tranquil ‘rural’ feel, but continues to evolve and respond to the needs of the various user groups. Easthill Park continues to qualify for a Green Flag award as an excellent representative of community involvement, and the council’s commitment to working hand in hand with the community groups that use the space.
