0161 223 8278Debdale Park is the principal park for the East Area Parks, and covers a total area of 59 hectares made up of 24 hectares of parkland, 6 hectares of woodland, 4.5 hectares of allotment sites and 24.5 hectares of natural scrub and open water. The Park is situated on Hyde Road within 6 km of Manchester City Centre and offers a flavour of everything within one site and aims to fulfil the mixed demands of the locality. It is a perfect setting for relaxation and quiet enjoyment, as well as offering a range of sports facilities and exciting children’s play. Debdale Park has a strong and active ‘Friends Of’ group who support community events and actively campaign for improvements in the park. The character of Debdale Park is predominantly one of a late Edwardian park in an urban setting, once dominated by open space. Debdale Park well laid out flowerbeds, pretty flower boards and abundance of open space that makes the park an attractive day out for the community. The park accommodates a visitor’s centre, toilets, park office, bowling greens, bowls pavilion, sports pavilion, open parkland sports areas and a playground and is base for staff and management for East Area Parks.
