Information about this open space

The park is situated in what was Lord Swansea’s estate and has fabulous all year round displays of plants both in doors and in the glass house ranges which are open access , we have the following collections.  Temperate zone plants from Africa, Asia Austrailia, Mexico and Agentina.  A tropical Rain forest House that reflects plants from rain forests from around the world. An Economkics House that has plants that have an economic value either as food, fuel or trade goods. Lastly we have a Cacti desert House that contains cacti and succulents from deserts arround the world. The out door bedding displays are awesome and inspiring, and the Herbaceous border is famous for the dazzling colours throughout the summmer months. The gardens are a wild life haven with many wild birds and squirrels taking food from our visitors. Entrance to the gardens if free3 as are most of the activities taking place.The new Visitor Centre with a fully equiped classroom provides as supplimentary learning zone to schools, colleges and the visiting public. There is a program of events and information about booking the facility for educational visits. Whether you want to sit in quiet contemplation or take part in activity we invite people to come and experience what is a people friendly and enjoyable facility.
