Roath Park is a prime example of something for everyone. The park covers 52 hectares in the centre of Cardiff, including a 12 hectare lake. Within its boundaries it offers boating, sports facilities playgrounds and relaxation, its 2.4 million visitors per year pay testament to its popularity. Roath Park has a rare blend of horticultural and botanical interest, wildlife and conservation importance with historical association, yet still retains its original Victorian ambience. The people of South Wales feel a close affinity with Roath Park, it is, and always has been a warm friendly facility in which people feel secure, its popularity spreads far beyond Cardiff’s borders.
