0113 3957400Pudsey Park is a well used local amenity benefiting from formal gardens, a bowling green, conservatory, pets corner, newly refurbished play area and skateboard park. The park’s proximity to the busy shopping centre of Pudsey, library and sports centre makes it ideally situated to meet the leisure needs of local people and visitors. An existing building is being refurbished to met the zoo licence conditions and incorporate an exhibition area, an aquarium and three aviaries centred on native species and a new visitor centre for the West Leeds Country Park. The 3.34 hectare Victorian Park was first laid out in 1889 and elements of this period are visible today. Visitors can relax with a leisurely stroll around the tree lined parkland enjoying the many and varied floral displays. Try to identify our ‘top ten plants’ in the conservatory. For those looking for more active recreation try a game of bowls. Younger visitors can enjoy the extensive children’s play area, skateboard park and pets corner. Visit the parrots, finches and exotic fish within the aviaries and aquaria that forms part of a real variety of experiences available in the park. Enjoy the summer bands in the park with entertainment from some of the region’s leading brass bands. Pudsey Park offers a range of attractions and outdoor recreation for everyone whatever the weather and ensures a memorable and enjoyable visit.
