The Queens Gardens provides a tranquil oasis in the centre of the busy and historic market town of Newcastle–under–Lyme. The Gardens provide the ideal opportunity for shoppers and office and shop workers alike to escape from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives.  The gardens provide a safe and clean environment in which to relax and sit whilst admiring the award winning floral bedding displays which are a centrepiece for the Boroughs annual Britain in Bloom campaign. Often seen as the “jewel in the crown” the gardens were awarded the Judges Trophy for Horticultural Excellence in 2003, and played a major role last year in Newcastle winning the National Britain in Bloom awards last summer.  The site also provides an excellent backdrop to the statue of Queen Victoria which is the centrepiece to the gardens when viewed from the bandstand.
