With woodlands, meadows and wetlands spanning both sides of the River Severn near Bridgnorth, Severn Valley Country Park is the perfect countryside experience.  You can enjoy one of four way marked trails including a disabled access trail, cycle along the Mercian Way or catch a steam train at the country park halt. The visitor centre has lots of interesting exhibits and information about the park and surrounding countryside. You can also enjoy light refreshments, including fantastic home made cakes whilst enjoying the breathtaking views of the valley. Parking is free. There is an annual events programme including guided walks, family events and children’s activities. We even offer children’s birthday parties.  Our lively group of volunteers carry out a great deal of work on the site including hedgelaying, pond creation and path and fence repairs. New volunteers are always welcome. From Summer 2008 we will be offering cycle hire so there will be no excuse for not exploring the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Severn Valley Country Park has something for everyone.
