Situated just outside Stroud town centre, Stratford Park is a popular well-maintained 56-hectare parkland enjoying stunning views over the town. It is home to Stratford Park Leisure Centre, an outdoor swimming pool and the state-of-the-art Museum in the Park, housed in the historic Mansion House building.  The Park itself offers sports facilities for all ages such as a bowling green, football and cricket pitches, extensive play areas and a model railway.  The Park is also the venue for staging a wide variety of events throughout the seasons including the Stroud Country Show which this year incorporates the first Stroud Nature Festival with contributors from Slimbridge Wildlife Trust,Gloucestershire wildlife Trust and the RSPB and the major launch of the “Friends of the Park"initiative.  The wonderful Museum in the Park works closely with local schools and the wider community to inform ,inspire and entertain through regular workshops ,walks talks and exhibitions.They have also added a Christmas Festival this year, so put it in your diary now!  We are always striving to improve our facilities and this year will see the installation of a new disabled compliant Superloo and extended skate park facilities in partnership Stroud Town Council and in consultation with local young people.  There is something for all ages and abilities at Stratford Park so come and visit us soon.
