Burtonwood Cemetery is a quiet tranquil green space set within the village of Burtonwood.  The 0.8 hectare public cemetery opened in 1900 and is a very important community resource. The site is sensitively managed in partnership with the Burtonwood Friends Group to keep a balance between the high standards of the grounds and the operational requirements of a functioning cemetery.  Consultation with the bereaved and other users is a high priority for the cemetery, which is designed to cater for the mixed-faith community of Burtonwood.  The cemetery is included in the Bereavement Services accreditation to ISO 9001:2000.
