01905 766493Worcester Woods Country Park provides a superb opportunity for informal recreation, enjoyment of nature and learning more about the Worcestershire countryside. The 94 acre Park includes a large area of ancient coppice woodland along with traditionally managed unimproved meadows that are grazed by rare breed cattle during the winter months. There is also a large events field that is popular for many informal recreation activities. The Park is on the edge of Worcester with excellent vehicular, cycle and pedestrian links. The Park has a popular visitor centre and cafe along with three community meeting rooms. These facilities heve recently undergone a major improvement, largely funded by ODPM Liveability Fund and Worcestershire County Council. The information and interpretation at the visitor centre and on the site have also just undergone a revamp with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. There is ample parking with toilets, a play area, way-marked walking trails and an orienteering trail. One of the way-marked walking trails offers a very accessible flat surfaced route.
