It has a wonderful setting with a natural terrace and excellent views over the adjacent river Avon. Major redevelopment over six years, turned the derelict pools into ornamental gardens and lily pool, riverbank erosion has been remedied, and the entrances made more welcoming. Facilities for youngsters include a Skate Park and Water Play. There are quieter areas with information on the old Abbey, unique pieces of artwork and river boat trips are available from the quayside. The park throngs with families on a summer weekend listening to music from brass bands whilst the children enjoy themselves in the Water play or the equipped play area. The floods in July 2007 left only the top of the bandstand above water on the lower level of the park but we are proud to say that the park was cleared and cleaned in record time so that it was soon fully in use again. Noted as the Jewel in Evesham’s crown by In Bloom Judges, it has something for every one of all ages to enjoy.
