0115 9173643Bramcote Hills Park has been identified as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of the parks and Open Spaces maintained by Broxtowe Borough Council. The status is a reflection of its central location, access for people with disabilities and its range of key features. It offers a balance between areas for quiet relaxation, active recreation with a backdrop of mature broadleaved woodland offering panoramic views of the adjacent countryside. The parkland with its children’s play area, trim trail and cycle route is enhanced by over 250 significant mature trees. The adjacent walled garden is the most recent development on the site and includes an interactive maze, ice house and the holocaust memorial garden. The park is a popular venue for cyclocross, orienteering and dog training events. The park has considerable public support, is well used and enjoys a variety of community events including the annual Hemlock Happening. In recent years there have been a series of improvements, which have maximised the park’s potential and provided a platform for future developments
