Ardwick Green is considered as one of the first public open spaces and has long since been used by visitors as a place for relaxation in a city which, particularly over the last few years, has expanded and become a leading cosmopolitan city. It has served the community very well over the years and will continue to do so. In its heyday it was probably the main source of entertainment. With the population being more mobile, community links are more important than ever, Ardwick Green fills a very important community roll, linking people together from all walks of life, age and religion.
