Manor Heath is a popular and well loved 19-acre park situated close to the centre of Halifax.  Famous for the ‘Jungle Experience’, visitors travel from afar to see the magnificent moth orchids, insectivorous plants, air plants and pre-historic Cycad Ferns growing in the jungle atmosphere.  You can also meet our resident Chinese Painted Quails, beautiful butterflies, Red Eared Terrapins and even our friendly dinosaurs in the time zone.  There are many other features for you to enjoy at Manor Heath Park such as the relaxing woodland walk and wild flower area planted with over 30 species of wild flowers and bulbs.  The walled garden is home to many beautiful flowers and plants and in summer you can look out for trials of new varieties of bedding plants.  Manor Heath is a vibrant park and hosts many events such as the annual Charity Gala, which attracts upwards of 10,000 people, as well as smaller horticultural workshops, environmental presentations and organised school groups.  Whatever your preference, we are sure that you will enjoy your visit.
