This 24 hectare site was saved from development in the mid 1980’s The park won a design award on completion and has been much admired for its beauty and tranquillity. Its unspoilt natural beauty and character continues to attract large numbers of visitors with opportunities for families with, woodland and lots of open space, picnic areas, two children’s playgrounds, a trim trail, miniature railway and meadows, There is also football, rugby, cricket a pitch and putt course. The Basingstoke canal runs along the eastern boundary and with lots of space, woodland, cafeteria, miniature railway and pitch & putt course ,Frimley Lodge park is a very attractive venue for everyone looking for quiet recreation or organised activity. A further attraction is the resident warden and the Council’s contractors providing fulltime attendance. The warden also works with volunteers and provides a programme of educational walks and events.
