01903 221113One of the least known gardens in the area, Highdown Chalk Gardens is the achievement of Sir Frederick and Lady Stern who worked for 50 years proving that plants would grow on Chalk. The garden has now been deemed a National Collection with its unique collection of rare plants and trees. With beautiful views to the sea in front and across the downs behind, tearooms and children’s nature trails this is a garden well worth visiting any time of the year. Each season brings something new to Highdown.
