0115 951 3649This 121 hectare park has been the home of the University of Nottingham since it was gifted by Jesse Boot in 1921. This mature park is well endowed with magnificent trees, flowing wildflower meadows, stunning exotic plantings and graceful water features. The Millennium garden, Jekyll garden, amphitheatre and Highfields walled garden are its highlights. Visitors in 2007 can also follow the restoration of the newly exposed Victorian rock garden at Lenton Firs as this is developed and replanted. As well as four Green Flags, University Park has achieved other local and national awards. Visitors are welcome and an active Friends Group organises a programme of walks and events within the park. A full colour Gardens Guide and Tree walk brochure is available visitors free of charge. Full information on www.nottingham.ac.uk/estates/friends
