Clissold Park contains a fine assembly of house and park. The house dates back from around 1793 with the park being laid out at the same time. Today the park represents a remarkable example of endurance and a skillfully designed 18th century park which has been sympathetically transferred into a Victorian public park which is popular and much loved local resource. The park has many attractions such as tennis courts playground animal enclosure ornamental bedding and many interesting tress. The park has been open to the public for 116 years and is an extremely important resource.
