01274 431547At nearly 28 hectares Peel Park is the second largest park in Bradford District. The park is home to many events and activities including the Bradford Festival Mela, a multi cultural event that attracts over 100, 000 visitors to the park in June. The park is also popular with the more actively minded and contains several winter sports pitches, three crown green bowling greens, a skatepark and competition standard BMX track. Included on the English Heritage Register of Parks & Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England, the park contains many original features and statues, a lake and large areas of open parkland for informal recreation and quiet contemplation. With a new children’s play area (opening summer 2006) and a cafĂ©, Peel Park really does have something for everyone.
