Information about this open space

Wellholme Park offers 19 Hectares of open space situated close to the town centre of Brighouse near Halifax.  Famous for its beautiful bedding displays and its double web net in the play area which stands at over 6m high, Wellholme Park has just about something for everyone.  There are plenty of activities for our visitors to enjoy at Wellholme, ranging from a game of tennis, bowls, crazy golf or even skateboarding.  For something a little more relaxing, then take a stroll around the park, explore its natural woodlands and follow the path of the beck that runs through the heart of Wellholme.  After all that excitement, why not settle down with a drink and snack in the newly re-furbished café?  Wellholme Park is maintained to a high horticultural standard and has a resident gardener on site throughout the year.  Careful planning at Wellholme Park allows recreation and conservation to sit comfortably side by side.  Throughout the year there are many different events to enjoy, from more local guided walks and pond dipping to larger events such as the annual Brighouse Gala.  It’s a great place for people and a great place for wildlife to come together.
