Steeple Woodland, now a designated a Nature Reserve, has gradually been transformed by the efforts of dedicated volunteers, with the backing of the local District Council.  Much of the rampant and invasive Rhododendron has been ripped out returning the land to its natural state.  Hundreds of trees have been planted reducing the carbon footprint and this ecological project continues to grow from strength to strength.  A most pleasant afternoon can be spent on the woodland pausing to take in the breathtaking views beyond to the sea – give it a try when next in St Ives.
