The accessibility to such a variety of habitats make Saltburn Valley what it is today- a much valued amenity to so many, those resident in Saltburn and the many visitors to this seaside resort. In the heart of the Valley lies the Italian Gardens with their impressive bedding displays that include sub-tropical specimens in the summer months. Close by is the Woodland Centre, that acts as a gateway between the more formal areas and the ancient wooded area of Riftswood, and from which a year round programme of events entertain and educate visitors. The Friends of the Valley assist with the running of the site and organise the annual Pageant of Light celebration, indeed the Valley gives its visitors a natural environmental experience.
