There are two areas to this beautiful well-maintained park; the smaller formal garden area and an adjoining recreational field. The formal garden area has a bowling green with a pavilion, a putting green, two grass tennis courts, a sunken garden and public conveniences. The recreational field has two hard tennis courts, a play area, two football pitches and a small changing facility. The two areas are divided by a hedge. The 15 acre park is very popular with the local residents. The ‘Friends of Itter Park’ are very active and have drawn many more people into the park by putting on a series of events in the last year. The ‘Friends’ are working with the Council to develop and improve the park and there are many exciting ideas in the pipeline.
