0121 569 3874Victoria Park covers over 13 hectares as the green heart of Tipton with a diverse ethnic community bordering the park. It is an area of leisure and heritage within the West Midlands and attracts much local interest. A second Green Flag Award will demonstrate the Council’s commitment to continuous improvements and local cultural activities associated with the park. The park provides a range of informal and formal recreational opportunities from walking to children’s play with a range of facilities for visitors and users. Recent years has seen a range of improvements to both the landscape, sports facilities and to the Senior citizens building in order to retain and develop it’s local significance. We believe that in 2008 Victoria Park Tipton meets the on going challenge for renewed Green Flag award in that it demonstrates a range of quality experiences for local people. An award of Green Flag will endorse the Friends work with diverse communities and the 2008 revised management plan for the park. We will continue to invest in the park and the key principals that drive the investment is to conserve maintain and enhance the built and natural heritage for the benefit of future generations ands to strengthen the physical and cultural connections between the park and the people of Tipton
