If you want to have a quiet walk in the tranquil surroundings of ancient woodlands or enjoy more rigorous outdoor activities then Whitlingham is the place for you. The new Outdoor Education Centre offers a comprehensive programme of outdoor and adventurous activities including; Windsurfing, Climbing, Archery, Sailing, Canoeing, and Cycling Adventure weeks. All of the activities are delivered by trained and qualified coaches to the highest standard and offer accreditation. Whitlingham Country Park has a range of different types of habitats and has a wide and varied range of wildlife in the Park. There are woodland walks, broad walks and meadow walks within the country park. All footpaths are all managed in order to make the park as accessable as possible for all types of visitors. The new Visitor Centre has opened which offers a Tourist Information Centre which offers information and advice on how best to enjoy a visit to Norfolk. In addition the visitor centre also hosts a cafe which offers refreshments to visitors to the country park. The Visitor Centre is within a 200 year old traditional flint barn which offers a unique expereince for a visit. The Country Park offers new education package’s in partnership with the RSPB which offers the opportunity to learn about woodlands, pond life and meadow wildlife as well as self-led educational guides to promote understanding of the issues facing the countryside.
