Greenhill Gardens has been recognised as one of the best green spaces in the country.  The towns sea front gardens have been awarded Green Flag status based on how safe, clean, accessible, well managed and welcoming they are.  This popular site is run by dedicated parks staff who work closely with the local community.  Everyone involved in making these gardens an even better place to visit are all extremely proud of this achievement.  The Green Flag Award scheme is the national standard for parks and green spaces across England and Wales.  The award recognises the value of green spaces in communities and is held by the best parks and gardens in the UK.  There are eight criteria which Green Flag judges use to assess parks and gardens, including: A welcoming place, healthy, safe and secure, Well maintained & clean, sustainability, conservation & heritage, community involvement , marketing & management.
